All the cool kids are coming...
AssalamuAlaikum Everybodies!As everyone and their mother must know already, my son Khalid is autistic, and Alhamdulillah, with treatment we've seen really amazing progress. He has started to talk- he has five or six words in his vocabulary now and we are overjoyed. Alhamdulillah, we've been able to pay for this therapy he needs, but there are eight families here who can't afford to have their children treated.
The Red Crescent of the UAE and the Child Early Intervention Medical Center are hosting a walk to raise funds for them. I am posting the invite here, and would be grateful if people could attend or spread the word to anyone and everyone in the UAE.
The walk is at Zaabeel Park, at 5pm, Thursday the 30th of April. There will be fun activities for children and the chance to meet and learn from people whose lives are affected by Autism.

hey assalamu alaikum.. U dnt know me but i used to read ur blog all the time lyk 4 yrs back. Then I moved 2 pakistan, got married, n had 3 kids (mash'Allah)!so i was out of the internet scene 4 a while. well nw the kiddies r asleep n i thot id c wat my fave bloggers r up 2. I have 2 say, u r one of the most inspiring ppl EVER! Ur writing makes ur readers feel very close 2 u. Just so u know u have a sis out dere praying 4 u n ur family. I am really glad u r seeing improvement in lil Khalid! I just luv kids (m 21 n Ive got 3 ov mine :P) luv ur writing. t.c.

Thanks for letting us know about this charity walk..how far is zaabeel park from the discovery gardens? I'd like to tell my bro and sis-in-law about this.
